Cleaning the pump is easy. The pump case's lid comes off. Then you can take out the pump and rinse it under the tap. Rinse the pump case too, including the water inlet. If you need to get rid of algae or slime, you can scrub the parts with a small brush. Then just put the pump back in its case, close the lid and you're done!

It's a good idea to change the water in your birdbath often to prevent slime building up. Note: your fountain will work best when the solar panel and pump are clean and free of dirt or scum.
